Silver Sneakers is a fitness program for seniors that’s included with many Medicare Advantage plans. Silver Sneakers helps millions of people on Medicare defy the odds, shatter stereotypes and answer every challenge with, “I can do this!” We also offer fitness classes for all abilities led by our Silver Sneakers trained instructors. How do I qualify for Silver Sneakers?
Take your Silver Sneakers ID card to Birdsboro Fitness and Splash. If you don’t have a card, a front desk staff can assist you in checking to see if you are eligible through the tivity health website.
How do I sign up & use Silver Sneakers?
Tell the person at the front desk you want to start using your Silver Sneakers benefit. Staff will give you the necessary paperwork to fill out, and get you enrolled with Silver Sneakers. (Copy of insurance card and drivers license is required). Enrolling at the location could take approximately 20 minutes.The staff member will take you on a tour to show you the equipment, the pool, SilverSneakers classroom and locker rooms. If you have any questions, feel free to ask!
Can I take any special classes with Silver Sneakers?
Yes, Silver Sneakers classes are available at no extra charge to our Silver Sneakers members. They are a low impact classs used to improve balance and coordination. Check out our schedule.
Silver Sneaker Classic
Mondays | 12:30 to 1:15pm
Designed to increase muscle strength, range of movement and improve activities for daily living. A chair is used for seated exercises and standing support and class can be modified depending on fitness levels....

Tuesdays and Thursdays | 1:00 to 1:45pm
A fun, shallow-water exercise class that uses a signature splash-board to increase movement and intensity options. Splash is suitable for all skill levels and is safe for non-swimmers. The pool provides many benefits when used for aerobic exercise and resistance training....
Silver Sneaker Stability
Tuesdays | 11:15 am to 12:00 pm
Stability is the newest class to help you become stronger and improve balance. The movements taught in class focus on specific exercises to improve strength and power around the ankle, knee, and hip joints, while improving your reaction time. This class is designed for fall prevention and is suitable for nearly every fitness level. It can be adapted depending on the skill of individual participants. A chair may be used for balance.
